改革开放已经进行了四十年。四十年间，中国的国内生产总值提高了两百多倍，中国从一个农业国发展成制造业大国，使7亿多人摆脱了贫困，3亿多人成为中等收入群体。除此之外，科技、教育、国防、外交等领域内也都取得了举世瞩目的成就。中国特色社会主义社会是一个变革的社会，是一个开放的社会，是一个不断发展和完善的社会。只有坚持改革开放，才能不断激发亿万人民的积极性和创造性，解放和发展生产力，永葆社会主义的生机与活力。
It has been forty years since the implementation of China's reform and opening up policy. During these forty years, China's GDP has increased by more than 200 times; China has grown from an agrarian country to a manufacturing powerhouse, lifting more than 700 million people out of poverty and making more than 300 million people middle-income group. Over the same time frame, remarkable achievements have also been made in fields such as science, technology, education, national defense, and diplomacy. The socialist society with Chinese characteristics is a society of reforming, a society of opening-up, a society of continuously developing and improving. Only if we adhere to the reform and opening-up policy, can we continuously stimulate the zest and creativity of billions of people, emancipate and develop the productive force and keep the vigor and vitality of socialism for good.
