【17英三】对于跨文化交流的理解

我觉得在这里的culture means the dominant culture in their country. Because of different ages, religions, education etc....Everyone has her different and worldviews and values.所以当我们谈论到什么文化的时候，很多情况下是指那个地方主流文化，所以我觉得我们更不能狭隘的去看待事情。我们自己也可以跳脱出我们的主流文化去寻找我们自己身上的价值

文化的多样性就在于每个人不一样，每个民族不一样，是这些不同，组成了多彩的文化世界

人与人的交流可超越文化的差异，正所谓和而不同，而主流文化无论在何时都不会过时，因为它符合时代的发展，对世界进步具有重要意义。

因为人并不局限于一个文化环境中，在某个地区是只有一个主流文化，但你放到大世界中就不是了。不能狭隘的看待事物。

文化具有多样性，虽然人们的文化背景相似，但是每个人的性格是不一样的，每个人都有自身的相对独立性，有可能表现出与文化背景不适应的行为。所以说人不限于他们的文化，因为文化只是辅助

It means that everyone is different from each other although they have similar cultural background. Every person has a unique personality. We cannot judge a book by its cover, moreover, we cannot judge a person by his/her cultural setting. However, such phenomenon is quite common in our daily life. For instance, speaking of western people and Chinese, most people would say that western people are open and Chinese are more conservative. Actually, the description doesn’t fit for each person of western countries and China. It can be regarded as a kind of stereotype. Therefore, we should be aware of individual uniqueness when engaging in intercultural communication. Besides cultural factors, living environment, social group experiences, education level and many other aspects can shape one’s character. Cultural setting can help us to know others better and communicate with others much more easily, but it is absolutely not the only way. Culture can influence a person, while it cannot determine his personality, his behavior, or his worldview. Each person is an inimitable original.

We live in the society which influenced by dominant culture. But we also do stress the self and personal achievement. Individuals emphasize their self-concept in terms of self-esteem, self-identity, self-awareness, self-image, and self-expression. I think it is good for building a colorful culture and promotes the cultural diversity. Indeed, we are affected by the culture consciously and unconsciously. But do not forget that we are the creator of culture. When the environment changes, we do not subject to the culture.

人类是复杂的社会性动物，在这样的多元化世界中，我们或多或少都会受到不同文化的影响，而这些文化就是在潜移默化中影响着我们的一言一行，因此我们就是文化的缩影，是文化的融合体，我们的存在不止与我们个人，更关乎我们的文化

Firstly, culture is not everything for our human beings. When live in the colorful and complicated society, we are affected by other factors not only culture, such as economy, policy, psychology, technology,etc. Secondly , although we are the same ethnic people, we are also the individuals. We have our own different preference, taste, and thoughts for everything.

文化是动态的渐进的不间断的发展过程。文化并非一成不变。文化是由人所创造。人改变，所以文化也会改变。文化是中性概念，其中既包括优秀成果，也有糟粕。所以个人会有选择的接受不同文化。

Each human being is unique, and each is shaped by countless factors, culture being but one of them. Although culture offers a common frame of reference, we are not captives of our culture.

The word "culture" has numerous meanings. As was the case, many definitions have been suggested for culture. According to the book of Communication *ween Cultures ,it defines culture as the deposit of knowledge, experience, beliefs, values, actions, attitudes, meanings, hierarchies, religion, notions of time, roles, spatial relations, concept of the universe, and artifacts acquired by a group in the course of generations through individual and group striving. From above the definition, we can notice a word "group", so when we refer to culture, we are applying the term to the "dominant culture" found in each society. That is to say, culture influences the majority in the society

文化具有独特性，人与人之间的交流和而不同。不能狭隘的看待一种文化，也不能狭隘的看待一个人

文化有着多样性，不同国家不同民族也有多样性，正是因为这些不同才有了现在多元化的文化。

各国各地的文化都不同，不能仅从文化的角度去看待一个人，去评判一个人。

各个地区都存在巨大的文化差异，文化具有多样性，文化并不能代表个人。
